What documentation do I need to apply for a loan or open an account?
NOTE: Each loan is unique. Thus, the documentation needed to apply for every loan varies from application to application. The information listed below is what is typically needed for a basic loan. However, various loans will require additional information. Please contact Texas Gulf Bank to verify exactly what documentation is needed for your specific loan type.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. Therefore when you apply for a loan or you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
The following are the requirements:
1.) Two valid forms of identification are required (You must provide at least one from the PRIMARY list). The IDs must not be expired and one must have a photo of the applicant and your signature. Acceptable forms of identification include:

- Voter’s Registration Card

- Utility Bill
- Firearm License
- Medicare Card
- Veterans Card
- Matricula Consular Card
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (issued by Transportation Security Administration/ TSA)
*If passports offered by non-U.S. persons are unfamiliar and we cannot authenticate them by reasonable means, we will not open the account.
